About · Ryan Griffin

Always building something new.

I got into training because I wanted to change myself first. Growing up, I had that skinny-fat build—I wasn't necessarily overweight, but I didn't have much muscle and still carried more body fat than I wanted. I wanted to build muscle, get stronger, lean out, and ultimately feel more confident in my body.

As I started taking my own training and nutrition more seriously, I became genuinely interested in understanding why certain things worked instead of just following random workouts or advice online. That led me to learn more about programming, nutrition, recovery, and what it actually takes to make consistent progress.

The moment I knew I wanted to take it further was when I realized I didn't just enjoy making progress myself—I enjoyed learning enough that I could eventually help other people do the same. That's what pushed me toward becoming a certified trainer and building RY Method, where I help people become stronger, healthier, and more confident while continuing to improve myself along the way.

Outside of fitness, I'm a content creator who's always looking for something new to build or learn. I love creating videos, trying new foods and recipes, and documenting different parts of my life. That curiosity runs my coaching too: I document, I explain, and I expect questions—because a client who understands the why never needs me standing over them. Fitness and nutrition are a big part of who I am, but I don't want it to be my entire personality—and I don't expect it to be my clients' entire lives either.

"Training with me is laid-back and supportive, but we still take your goals seriously. I want you to understand why we're doing what we're doing instead of blindly following a plan. You should feel comfortable asking questions, being honest when you're struggling, and actually enjoying the process. I'm here to give you the structure, knowledge, and accountability you need without making fitness feel like it has to take over your entire life."— Ryan Griffin
